The best show on the web!

I just broke my TV, but who needs it!  I use the internet all day.  Everyday.  Every damn day.  If you haven’t gotten into web series yet, you are sooo not fresh!  I have had the pleasure of script supervising one called VALLEY PEAKS .  It is hillarious, and original.  Don’t be fooled by the ongoing outlandish stupidity of the characters on the show, this web series is witty and calculated!  Check it out for yourself and watch their NEW TRAILER….. Ok!  Now that you are back from watching that, go make FRIENDS with them.  The creators of the show (Tanner Beard, Phil Donohue, Kayvon Esmaili, Phil Jessen) are four of the hardest working people I know. Don’t forget to show my boys some love and leave them a comment..or two.
Let me break it down for you.  Web TV is going to be taking over in a major way! Get up on it!

(This is a pic from the 2009 BOP Calendar par-tay with some of the VPers.  Shout out to two beautiful and talented actresses of the show, Cathy Baron and Amelia Meyers. )

I have to get going to pick up some equipment for a photo shoot today.  I am shooting in a canyon that we have to climb first with all the gear, which I’m actually excited about.  I shot with Richard Martinez from Analigital yesterday on a music video too, so check back real soon about that.  Tomorrow, I am working on a short film called “Numb”.  A long weekend of work, but that just means I’ll have more to tell you about soon!  A wise woman named Britney Spears once said “Why don’t you do summin?”…..there’s people making stuff happen for themselves all over. What are you doing???? xxo Ash

I have been zoning about my next film lately.  A drama.  I haven’t mastered this genre yet and I am aching to do one.  I have a meeting with an unbelievable actor tomorrow to finish writing my next short film.  A lot of weird shit has been happening to me lately.  I have realized how easily emotions change.  It’s fabulous really.  That is, if you can step back and own the difference.  I have been having this butterfly in my stomach like something big is about to happen.  I’ve been waking up to write.  Get hype…something cool is on the way.  And until I figure out what,  Start prepping yourself for the BOP commercial and RED WEEK films!

A behind the scene of the B.O.P commercial that I PROMISE to have up soon!  It’s hard squeezing in editing with my new stuff.  I love you Ryan Fogle (my editor)  for sticking it out through both our jacked schedules!

An old favorite of mine.  A picture I took of Miss Hannah Mae Landberg in the Mojave on our shoot.  She is an up and coming star who is rocking the fashion world and indy film scene!  Also part of the Burn One Productions Family and in our upcoming B.O.P commercial!!!!

A picture taken of myself on a shot up car in butt fuck nowhere.  This one reminds me of our OG Car T-shirt available at our online store.  I don’t know about you but if I had my way I’d have an old school Cadi candy painted gold….but my Acura is chill for now.  Plus the world need hybrids now anyways right!!

This is a photo I took of Casey Peters, the actress in my new RED WEEK film along with Catherine King and Jason Burks.  I will be releasing a string of RED WEEK info updates and edited images from each director early next week.  For now I need my zzzzz’s for set tomorrow.   More soon!

The time has finally come to start sneakin peeks at our RED WEEK FILMS.  Here are two new images taken from the RAW red footage of Ira Flowers shoot, which was day 1.  He used Red Cine and  Nuke to color correct these stills, pulled directly from his footage.  Exciting stuff!  The RED camera is going to change everything….to see more check back.  Ira’s film can be seen Sept.5th on our site.  Mark your Burn One Calendars!  Will have links to his other work very soon..

I am working on ten new RED projects with Mike Lynch for Columbia College, Chicago students to learn directing with the camera as well, and Mike is really pushing the limits with this camera and teaching the next generation to embrace the change.  I’m seeing REEEDDDDD.  Ok, it’s official, I need to sleep. Check back soon son…..new stuff all the time!

Underneath the Bridge

Today was a day of tunnels and cars.  bums and children.  photo shoots and painters, and one great film!  Rafael went today with his short film that took place under and around the 6th Street bridge downtown.  Its an abandoned cement jungle where crazy things combine to make for a perfect place to shoot.  He has an incredible eye for storytelling and the scenery brought so much to the project.  The day was crazy though!  We had a bum yelling at us wheeling in a chair only backwards with his dog named Bear….pretty classic.  We had five people crammed in a car, hiding out of frame during some interior driving shots while Greg Tonner shaked the car with a lead pipe.  If that doesn’t sound like fun to you,  maybe you couldn’t hack it with our crew:)  The film was shot in Spanish and sounded as awesome as it looked.  Great 5th day!  Tomorrow is my day to direct…more on that after I nap.

Day of 2’s

Posted in burn one productions by ashley on June 3, 2008 No Comments yet

Today was Day 2 of our RED WEEK shoot.  The creator of RED WEEK, Mike Lynch was our director today and as always, he did it big shooting two spots in one day!  We started our day in the Palisades overlooking the canyon and ended in the fashion district of Downtown LA.  Mike showed great diversity as a director, finishing two completely different projects.  Props for that!  Ira and Mike have really set the bar high, and I can’t wait for tomorrow’s shoot that has us moving all over the LA area.  More on this after I get a few hours of sleep….
