Hey guys! Very excited to announce that I will be shooting another fashion show on May 26th for dress designer Gary Allen of For Divas Only. I will have more details about the event very soon so keep checking back! Gary will be linking up with some fabulous jewelry designers for the show, including Sinise Colbran and her leather bracelet designs.

I was so excited to be gifted an awesome and original leather bracelet from the Sinise Colbran line just yesterday! I LOVE IT! I have already gotten several compliments on it and it’s a perfect little piece to give an edge to your summer threads. What I like most about it, is how comfortable it is to wear. Our short film ‘Speech’ starring Chris Kinkade and written and directed by Ashley Eberbach will be in festivals this summer and fall! Read about it and watch the trailer below.

Within each of us lies the capacity to root for violence. Despite carefully calculated rules for when it’s okay to harm another individual or take a life, there are moments when it seems somehow justified–necessary even–to take action outside those prescribed norms. The short film Speech taps into and turns upside down our emotional connection to brutality, posing the question: When is it okay to root for violence?

The Speaker seems, at first, to be a powerful orator who might command a broad following. His manifesto is aggressive but relatable. Any viewer–any citizen–who has felt small against the tide of overwhelming structural power can find something to agree with in his accessible radicalism. As his speech unfolds, we are in a tug of war between the common ground we find with the Speaker, and the foreboding feeling that accompanies uncertainty about how far is too far to go for a cause. This picture is a 35mm print that I shot behind the scenes of my new music video ‘Pieces’ for pop singer Claire Demorest. I was instantly drawn to the song ‘Pieces’ for a video because it tells a story a lot of us can relate to. The cycle of a relationship that is just no good but you can’t seem to end. I started formulating the treatment for it right away and ideas began to pour out of me. Suddenly I had written a script that took place half of the time underwater and it was the beginning of December. But that’s the thing about making movies. It’s really hard to make them but it’s also therapeutic to create something from scratch and show a little piece of your brain to the world. Or in this case, my heart. Special thanks to everyone who helped on the video! Time to take it to the top this year! Big shout out to Claire bear as well. She inspires me on a weekly basis and I’m so proud of her talent! Pop singer Claire Demorest’s new music video for ‘PIECES’

I am so excited to show everyone a sneak peak of our new music video for CLAIRE DEMOREST’s ‘PIECES’. I have been editing up a storm on it with my boy Morgan Locke of CHANNEL 101 and it’s about to be fire!!! The song is produced by the incredible ROCC STAR of ROCC AGE ENT. and Claire does her thing vocally. I was so inspired by the lyrics that Burn One jumped at the chance to shoot this project. We shot for 6 days all over Los Angeles…because, yah know…it had to be fresher than what is out there right now and that isshh takes time!

Here are two stills from the video ‘Pieces’ off Claire Demorest’s first album with Rocc Age Ent. This video gets crazy cool but I gotta wait to blast those pics! Staying confidential with it ’til Feb. 4th when the VIDEO DROPS!!!! So check back with us soon. The Madonna Inn

I recently packed up my car, grabbed my best friend Hannah Landberg and hopped on the road to San Luis Obispo for New Years Eve. We had no actual plans except a booked room at this fabulous hotel called The Madonna Inn. Each room there is decorated wildly different. Crazy wall paper, cave-like walls, chandeliers, the works. It even has a bubble gum pink leather dining room! I just wanted to share some pics from our trip. I give this city and the Madonna Inn 5 stars*****! The drive from LA to San Luis Obispo is beautiful and easy (101N straight up). I highly recommend this for a weekend getaway. I would tell you more about OUR trip but what happens in San Luis…stays there hehe Happy 2012 Burn One fam! xxo Ashley

I just co-produced 2 new films ‘Perceptio’ and ‘Raincheck Romance’.

I just co-produced two very original independent films this year. One is an experimental music video and short film for award winning director Brendan Gabriel Murphy (Swerve, Wasted) The project stars sultry actress Hannah Landberg and the evil leading villain, Death, is played by Dee Shiver. We are currently in post production and planning our festival route. The film is DPed by Michael David Lynch, a fellow Michigan native like myself. Big ups to the fantastic producer Jeff Beard and all of our crew and cast!

I also got to co-produce a 30 min short romantic comedy “Raincheck Romance” this year for director Mark Mallorca and producer Ryan Fogle. We are almost done with RED cine and a few tweeks to the music and we are off to festivals all over!! This reminds me I have to start saving for all of the traveling. But that’s half the job of making movies…promoting them. Alright that’s all but before I go, raise the roof for Phil Jessen who was part of production with me on both projects. Aiiight guys. Details Magazine/Absolut Orient Apple Event

Here are some fun pics of all of us celebrating after a successful week in the fashion world! British dancers Freckles and Annemarie walked in the Gary Allen Fashion show this past Sunday and I had the awesome pleasure of shooting the whole event! We had to all go out and party so the lovely Olivier Ferrand took us all to the Details Magazine/Absolut Orient Apple Event in Beverly Hills. It was a blast and we danced our bootys off in original dresses by designer Gary Allen!

You can check out all the photos from this event at THEDIGITALPHOTOBOOTH.COM ….a great crowd out that night! Details magazine is one of my favorites for photography inspiration. The Absolut drink menu was also fabulous that night!

‘Prom King’ Music Video

I just released the new music video for ‘Prom King’ by Claire Demorest this week, so make sure you check it out!!! This is a music video debate for both of us and I’m so proud of the creativity it took to pull this one off. Ms.Demorest is a monster on the mic and she can work the camera fo’ days! If you aren’t addicted to her music yet make sure you hustle on over to the Claire Demorest Music Page and get up on it.

This project was a one of a kind experience for me as a director. I was able to go back to Detroit’s Highland Park area and find an abandoned high school and sneak inside to shoot for a bit. We managed to get pretty deep into the ruins of the old classrooms and hallways. We even found the school’s library, still filled with books and paintings. I will be sharing this whole experience soon in an upcoming photo/writing project. Special thanks to Detroit native and fellow filmmaker Jesse Williams for having my back out there.

Here is another pic from the ‘Prom King’ video shoot! Great job to Jahfree, our prom king as well as the rest of our hot and talented cast. Special shout out to music producer Matt Wong for his stellar track making skills as well as Lil Wayne for the original version called ‘Prom Queen’. And one final kiss and hug to Magnolia Gowns in Burbank for hooking us up with some killer dresses for the vid. Alright doggy dogs that’s all for now but come back soon. I am a huge fan of shooting on 35 mm!! Although I own a 7D, it’s still one of the best surprises to pick up film prints and see what turned out. One day I want to have a floor in my house dedicated to storing every film camera ever made. I’m actually anxiously awaiting an old 3D camera in the mail right now. I have a cool snow shoot planned!! Madd Chadd from ‘Step Up 3D’

Today is the DVD and BLU-RAY release of Step Up 3D!!! Last week I got to meet one of the movies stars, Madd Chadd. His robotic moves are unreal! I was assisting photographer Kayvon Esmaili while he shot Madd Chadd dancing and working out for an upcoming promo with Disney. It was a blast and I’ll post links once that shoot is up! Above is a sweet clip of a scene from Step Up 3D with Madd Chadd doing his thing! I encourage everyone to check this movie out! It’s high energy fun, the dancing is dope and the soundtrack is bumpin! We were dancing the whole time it was on! I’ve been a fan of this franchise since the first Step Up, so if you haven’t seen the others, scoop ‘em. Then you can bust a move in your living room too!

Here’s a fun outtake from the shoot. Chadd is teaching me the robot….and as you can see I’m doing a stellar job! Special thanks to Chris Belcher from Disney for giving us an advanced copy of Step Up 3D and for letting me be a part of such a fun shoot. Burn One loves Li-Ning!!!

A few months back I had the pleasure of working on a commercial for Li-Ning shoes. Li-Ning is an athletic apparel, footwear, and equipment company based in Beijing, China. Their US headquarters is in Portland, OR. Check out the new Li-Ning video now and show them some love! We had a great shoot with hilarious actors Gerry Bednob and Donnell Rawlings, and everyone on the cast and crew was a blast to work with. I was so excited about the shoes after the shoot that I asked to try out a pair the next time I hit my neighborhood court. Li-Ning was nice enough to send me a pair of their Baron Davis Doom II shoes. This is a picture of them above!

After trying on my brand new BD Shoes for the first time, I haven’t been able to take them off. I’m a shoe girl and these are fly! It’s great to have a new pair of basketball shoes that are comfortable, cute, and provided the ankle support to dunk on my opponents (as you can see from the pic above, I got ups baby!) These shoes feel like you are walking on pillows.

I also really love the unique laces and detailing. The shoes have Baron Davis’ name on the inside tongue and his face on the front! I have been taking these shoes off the court and sporting them around town too! Check out their website for all their gear. They have running shoes, cross trainers and clothing for men and women. I am very excited to launch our brand new website and STORE! Burn One has grown a lot through the years and I am very excited for 2011! Most recently we shot a new campaign for Burn One Clothing. I owe a huge thanks to photographer Kayvon Esmaili of KayvonPhotos for his work on this project. He did a wonderful job and is always great to shoot with. Above is a photo of our models doing their thing for BOP! Included in the line up is our girl Claire Demorest, of the show ‘Jonas’. Joining her is the star of ‘Gigantic’, Ryan Rottman and Barnett O’Hara of ‘Big Time Rush’. I am so grateful to have such talented young actors involved in this shoot. A few months ago I traveled to Ireland for The International Film Festival of Ireland in Tipperary to screen my short film ‘History of Made Up Things’. I traveled with fellow director Brendan Murphy (SWERVE) and we were able to see so many great spots in the country. I took so many cool pictures and I will be updating my blog with a lot of them so keep checking back. Thanks to Will, Binda, and Jordan for putting on such a great festival.

For those of you that don’t know, our film won Best International Film (under 20 min) at IFFI! Above is my speech….Mom, dad, and Jen- Thank you! I forgot to thank my family because of Guiness and nerves! It was truly unexpected and one of the coolest feelings. There are two very special ladies that Burn One has had the pleasure of working with on many occasions. They are triple threats managing careers in acting, modeling, and singing. Miss Hannah Landberg and Claire Demorest have been part of the Burn One fam for a while now, and they inspire me daily. They are BOP’s go-to-girls for new photos, videos, and web content. On top of their raw talent and stunning looks, both are great friends and always a blast to shoot with. Claire Demorest also just performed at Knotts Berry Farm for Latino 96.3. She played a full set and even had a line of fans wrapping around the park to get her autograph. I have worked with actor/photographer Kayvon Esmaili for a couple of years now and he continues to impress me with his work. We have shot several projects together including three dance commercials, my short film, his webseries, the DETROIT project, and countless photo shoots. Most recently Kayvon Esmaili has been booking a lot of acting work. He currently has two national commercials out including one with Verizon Wireless. I’ve seen him in action..the guy can act! He also just wrapped a feature film where he played a detective opposite Stephen Baldwin and Ja Rule. His talents are endless and Burn One wishes him the best on his next film shooting in Texas. One important key to being a good director (in my opinion) is to surround yourself with good directors. I want to take this time now to showcase some very cool films and filmmakers.
Not only have these men accomplished beautiful story telling with their work but they also support and push me to grow in mine.

Brendan Murphy (writer/director) is one of the most original people I know. He is a true artist and his short film ‘Swerve’ has been gaining lots of press and awards. He will also be traveling overseas for the International Film Festival of Ireland. Brendan and I recently collaborated on a new video for Burn One that should be out this fall. It’s great to have such a talented guy have my back and encourage me to explore my directing. Daps kid

I just finished script supervising a film by Paul Bunnell called ‘The Ghastly Love of Johnny X’. Paul is a visionary and this movie is going to have a huge cult following. We shot for a month in LA and Ventura County and the cast and crew became family. Check out the Johnny X Trailer and I’ll update you again when it is released!

I am co-producer and casting director on a new short project by Mark Mallorca (producer of ‘History of Made Up Things’) We began casting a few roles of the ensemble cast yesterday. I love actors and it’s so fun to watch them in an audition. There are raw acting moments that come out in people that you don’t get again after rehearsals and shoot days. Check out Raincheck Romance here and help us get our post production budget! It’s a cute romantic comedy about 20 somethings in LA. Very good script!

And last but not least I have to give a shout out to Michael D Lynch (writer/director/producer) for his movie Burden. Mike and I will be starting a film together Aug. 21st called Insert. I’m script supervising and he is producing the film. It’s stunt and action heavy so I’m looking forward to that! Check out Burden’s TRAILER now. He has traveled the world with the film. Burn One’s good friend Richard Martinez is the owner of Analigital, a multi media company. I have worked for the Analitigal team on many print projects and they are so fun and creative. Most recently I took photos for a DJ client of theirs over in the San Fernando Valley, collaborating with Richard at his store United Threads. They have a solid team, including one of a kind graphics by Jonny Chavez and impeccable styling by fashionista and blog host Candice Moran.

What’s up, it’s your girl Ashley Eberbach, owner of Burn One Productions LLC. For those of you just checking in for the first time, Burn One has been in effect for almost 4 years now. Thanks for all the support of our followers as well as the crew of people behind Burn One (you know who you are). Without the love I have had through the years, BOP would be non-existent. As we expand, my appreciation for each project and person grows. It’s crazy to look back to the beginning at things like our first calendar and short film. Most of the people from those projects are still involved with Burn One Productions today. I had a work day planned with actress Claire Demorest a few weeks back, when she showed up to lunch looking adorable. So we dropped all our plans and had a mini photo shoot! It sparked a huge realization in me. I like producing photo shoots equally as much as I like making movies! So I have been shooting up a storm and it’s a blast! Here’s a pic of makeup guru Genie Skemp and I at the ‘Deadliest Warrior‘ prop warehouse picking out sweet weapons for a photo shoot this weekend! I’ll post them asap so check back.

You should see my house right now. It’s full of film negative envelopes, camera turtorials, and lighting books. So much to perfect for projects to come! I have only been shooting rolls of film because it’s cooler than digital..hehe. Just sayin’. I want to thank everyone that I have shot with in the past few weeks. I have some great friends and mentors! Also a very special thanks to Lori Dovi of Ribbit Tree and Plant for allowing us to use her gorgeous property! It’s a paradise over there! I have been working on some other peoples cool projects recently too! My dear friend and producing partner Philip Jessen just shot a fun internet video that a lot of the Burn One fam acted in! Burn One is having a busy winter, and a cold one. Let me tell you a little bit about what BOP has been cultivating over in our NoHo kingdom. We are currently submitting our short ‘History of Made Up Things’ to festivals all over the US! I personally can’t wait to travel the states meeting all the awesome indy film makers our country has to offer. Wish us luck! Here is an image straight from our HOMUT press kit! Aside from BOP, I have been working on a handful of projects with some very talented people. Above is a behind-the-scenes look at what I’ve been up to this month. I am shooting a new work out video BLOG with Health guru Catherine King. She kicked my butt the other day with cardio yoga! I also produced the Spring 2010 Anchor Blue campaign with the multi-talented photographer/producer Richard Martinez. Check out his stuff at Analigital (an associate producer of HOMUT). I also produced another shoot this month for Kayvon Photos with model Claire Demorest. We earned the great 120 mm shots by hiking into the trees of Fryman Canyon. And lastly I script supervised pick ups for the feature film ‘Super’ starring Liv Tyler, Kevin Bacon, and Rainn Wilson. A little tired, but life is gravy over here. It has been a minute since I updated this. I have been laying down some serious ground work for BOP lately. I’m proud and excited to release the fruits of that labor for you now! 2009 was good to me, but this year is mine! I have had the pleasure of working with some very talented individuals for the culmination of these projects. Special thanks to everyone I have worked with thus far! I am also excited to announce the launch of a project very dear to me. Our DETROIT PROJECT is up on our DTOWN page. I went back to my home state to shoot our new BURN ONE CLOTHING campaign. It only felt right to use the people of Detroit as our models, wearing designs inspired by the city. It was an incredible and inspiring experience. Well hello! Have you guys seen the trailer for our new film ‘History of Made Up Things’ yet?? You better get on it! The film stars Kent Karson, Eli Jane, and Jenny Bahn. I have begun the festival submission process and I’m learning so much about how to market a short film. I have decided to attempt to travel as much as possible with this film and get Burn One‘s name out to everyone I meet. Maybe even pick up some feature funding along the way! Thanks to producer Phil Jessen for cutting our amazing trailer! More on HOMUT soon.

Now that post prod. is done on my short film, I am prepping to shoot a new project Nov.15th!!! Burn One has teamed up with a beautiful and talented young lady, Claire Demorest to dance in our new BOP Clothing Commercial. We are rehearsing at Millenium Dance Complex this weekend and I just picked up some dope beats from music master Donny Morrison yesterday (thanks Lucas)! This weekend I’m staying in to storyboard, location scout and style the shoot! Check back yo.

This week I also had the opportunity to travel up to Big Bear, CA to start the planning of an upcoming feature project I will be involved in. Leading the project are the Jessen brothers. I went up to the mountains with my boys from VP, as well as a few new faces. The team of people is incredible and I’m really pumped to work on a feature again! Alright y’all! My short film ‘History of Made Up Things‘ is done! We have begun submitting it to festivals and I really can’t wait for the world to see it. The movie stars Kent Karson, Eli Jane, and Jenny Bahn. We will be throwing an awesome party and trailer screening in Mid-November. This film has come a long way since starting as a writing exercise years ago. A lot of great people have helped to make it all happen. I have the best cast and crew a person could ask for. I can’t wait to come up together….so Hollywood better make some room for us! Keep checking in with the peeps of BOP as we release TONS of new treats! Dropping new stuff all the time.. from now until Thanksgiving! Hayyy.

Speaking of new, I would like to introduce Miss Claire Demorest. She is our fresh princess of Burn One Productions! Claire will be dancing for our new BOP Clothing commercials starring herself and fellow dancer Anthony Scarano. They are both incredible dancers and I can’t wait to shoot with them very soon! On top of dancing Claire also sings, acts and models! That’s a quadruple threat so watch out Beyonce. More on our new dancers and videos soon so keep creepin’ over to our page! There are three things I have been concentrating on lately: 1) Be good to those who are good to you. 2) Politely defer from those that aren’t & 3) Work like a dog when you want to sleep. Gotta stay busy so life is always fun! Today, I am scouting dancers, practicing my Spanish, and working on my Detroit grant. Tonight, I am editing my short, photoshopping posters, and seeing a friend that I should have kept in better contact with. It’s important to remember how endless the list can be of things you want for yourself. So I’m ‘funsta use everyday. Can I get a’ amen!!?!!
(Here are pics of my parents when they were on their honeymoon in New Orleans. It looks like my mom made my dad a shirt out of the motel wall paper!)

This is a painting my Great Aunt Sally Swiss painted and sent me a birthday card of. Today is her funeral. RIP. I’ll eat a pork chop for her ….well..a bite of one at least! Come back later in the week. My short film ‘History of Made Up Things’ will be wrapped in post on Oct.1st!!! Expect a very drunk Ashley that night, haha!

Burn One has so many new projects lined up I don’t know where to begin! I am so excited for my newest wave of creativity…all I wanna do is shoot stuff!!! BOP is also very close to wrapping post production on our short film ‘History of Made Up Things’ I have been at the NEOCLECTIC studio all week working on a pop song for the intro with master musician John Baldivia. Here is a pic of that. Gotta also give love to Lexie Beard and Anthony Barden for their amazing songs in the film! I can’t wait to travel to some festivals with it and start raising funds for my next film. It’s been a lot of work but HOMUT has really come together! Get ready for some new updates all over our site very soon!!

I have also been balancing Burn One work with some other fun productions. I landed two photo shoots this past week, and also shot for fun with my friend Phil Donohue (Director, Photographer) Here is a silly outtake …he made me carry a hammer and walk on a roof in Pasadena. Don’t worry, the ‘Thug Life’ tattoo on my stomach is Henna (thank god) Tomorrow I am working for Analigital on a photo shoot for Anchor Blue! We are shooting on THE PHANTOM!! Tuesday I landed a role on the show ‘Operation Repo’ on TRU TV My first..but not last..crack at acting. I never thought I would say that, but it’s so fun! I’m not gonna lie, it should be hillarious! I was told by a good friend and fellow writer/director Phil Donohue that the best place to go when you can’t stand your home office any longer is the public library. You can’t use your cell phone. You can’t eat or drink. You can’t talk. Congrats to him for finishing a feature script thanks to the Pasadena library. It’s working for me too as we speak! I read a nice quote to sum up my feelings lately…”The best relationship is give and take where you are inspiring each other.”( Daniel Pearl, cinematographer) Film is a tough business and it takes a lot of refocusing and back-to-square-one tactics. The one thing I know always works for me is to surround myself with people doing amazing things of their own. The longer I live out here, the more I realize that directing a good movie means years of learning EVERYTHING you can from people you admire. This is a new pic of one of the hardest working actresses I have ever met, Miss Eli Jane.

I was part of a project not too far back for a fun new advertisement from Avatar Labs. This is a picture of the great group of ladies I worked with that day. Shout out to Casey Peters, a BOP alum for setting up that gig for me. Now go kill us with tire irons at THIS SITE (scroll to the bottom and click on THETA PI OR DIE game) It is for the new movie ‘Sorority Row’ starring Rumor Willis. Casey and I are working on a new web series that should start filming next year!!!

In between all the job hunting, editing, and hustling, I did sneak away this past weekend to two cool events. I went back to be in a wedding for one of my oldest friends in MI on Friday. We had such a blast and it’s always cool to be around two people that are whole heartedly in love. Then I hopped on a plane back to Cali for an awesome charity event for the California Wildlife Center. This animal center is dear to me, and if you have any spare change laying around, throw it their way! This is a pic of myself and Jeff Hall at the event. Jeff works so hard at CWC and is the reason Burn One ever got involved with the center. That is it for now. I have to get back to work. Alright everybody…the party has officially begun! I have a lot of projects super close to being wrapped and it feels sooo good! Last night Burn One shot the movie poster for our short film, ‘History of Made Up Things’. It was great to work with lead actors Kent Karson and Eli Jane again after a few months have past since shooting. We partied on a roof in down town LA till 1am and got some great stuff thanks to This Guy! Also, props to makeup artist Genie Skemp for coming back for round two with the HOMUT crew. Here’s a little behind-the-scenes lovin’ above…but yah gotta check back for the real stuff! …and while you’re looking around check THIS out too! Some teasers from our Detroit Project!

Did yah miss me? Well, I missed you either way! Burn One is back in affect in LA after an amazing trip to Detroit. BOP went back to the city of our chief inspiration to photograph the beautiful madness, and shoot our new clothing campaign! Je t’aime DAY-TWAH! My love for this city is thick, y’all. I brought a fantastic photographer, Kayvon Esmaili along to infiltrate the urban landscape with me. We came back with some stuff I’m seriously proud of. Here is a taste of the Detroit project above! Beautiful things going bye bye

As the headlines mount on Michael and Farrah, it feels more and more like the end of an era. I am 12 days away from my trip back to Detroit, the deserted land of the American dream. Los Angeles is a completely different life for me filled with creation and work. My Detroit project feels like a way to finally combine both worlds that have made Burn One what it is today. Here is a pic of a stock of film that Kodak is retiring called Kodachrome. Before it goes extinct…we are gonna rock MI with it! Cheers to the people, places, and things that have carved history. RIP.

On another note, I have been slammed with deadlines for my short film ‘History of Made Up Things’.
We will have the first cut done on July 7th! I have the BEST actors in the world! They killed it! I also managed to squeeze in a photoshoot with myself and Analigital…did a lil bikini modeling (what!!!) I also photographed this young gentlemen above for Janice L.Salas makeup portfolio this past week. Super fun shoot and more pictures on the way! I will update you more as the party unfolds here at BOP. Until then..write me a comment fool!

My life is an assembly line belt set too fast. That’s the style I function best in though. Without pressure and one cluster-fuck of a schedule (excuse my language), I am worthless! This is a picture of Detroit’s Central Depot building I have been researching for my newest project. I will be exploring this and many other crazy one-of-a-kinders in Michigan’s abandoned lots. Burn One has an idea of how to change the Motor City. You in or what? I mean, look at this building! It’s too beautiful to waste.

I am editing my short film, working odd jobs, and gearing up for a BOP Garage Sale in LA all this week! I gotta tell yah though…I’m in the best mood.
