RED WEEK is officially done shooting!  We wrapped filming last night on my project which went very well.  Our crew had a great rhythm going and I already miss it!  We shot at six different locations yesterday and my actresses were great sports while I tortured them with wind sprints all day.  I shot another Burn One Productions commercial that will be out Sept.5 along with all the other amazing projects of RED WEEK.  That’s all the info I will give you for now.  I’m too excited to drop the RED WEEK bomb on y’all, to give anymore details away just yet!  I just want to thank Mike Lynch for putting together a great opportunity.  Special thanks also to the other directors, Oliver, Rafael, Greg, and Ira……Big Thangs….HUGE!  Now I gotta start planning the wrap party!!!!  And then the screening!!!!

Underneath the Bridge

Today was a day of tunnels and cars.  bums and children.  photo shoots and painters, and one great film!  Rafael went today with his short film that took place under and around the 6th Street bridge downtown.  Its an abandoned cement jungle where crazy things combine to make for a perfect place to shoot.  He has an incredible eye for storytelling and the scenery brought so much to the project.  The day was crazy though!  We had a bum yelling at us wheeling in a chair only backwards with his dog named Bear….pretty classic.  We had five people crammed in a car, hiding out of frame during some interior driving shots while Greg Tonner shaked the car with a lead pipe.  If that doesn’t sound like fun to you,  maybe you couldn’t hack it with our crew:)  The film was shot in Spanish and sounded as awesome as it looked.  Great 5th day!  Tomorrow is my day to direct…more on that after I nap.

Doc Day

Today was Documentary Day for the 4th installment of RED WEEK.  Our director Greg Tonner brought his visionary piece of art to life today with ample footage and extravagant production value.  Greg’s film is going to have T-shirts available soon as well and I have seen the design…they are DOPE!  Would I lie to yah?  Come on now, Burn One Productions has taste in clothes and Greg’s design rocks.  Make way for that and his film coming soon!  On a side note, all the players of RED WEEK want to shout out the other executive producers involved, Mike Hedge and John Corser.  We are loving the opportunity and thanks for helping make this happen.  Tomorrow is Day 5, shooting downtown LA so check back tomorrow with new pics and updates!  Peace Love and Burn One.

Oh Baby

Today was Day 3 of RED WEEK, with the unbelievable and gifted director Oliver DeFillippo.  This guy’s work, in conceptualizing commercial campaigns is unreal!  Someone might want to snatch him up quick before the competitor does.  We added a dope piece of equipment today…The Baby Lens.  Very appropriate, being that there was a 2 month old in one of our shots.  We went all over LA, from Mel’s diner on Sunset to a Santa Monica strip of beach.  I’m sun burn but it will turn into a fierce tan by tomorrow! Day 4 is up.  Will have links to some of the directors work soon…stay posted (like an envelope..holla)

Candice B.O.P’s Miss.August

Ok, you’re right it’s not August yet, but I had to switch it up for a minute and put a hottie up from Burn One Productions 2008 calendar!  Candice is a good friend of mine.  She brings a great energy every shoot, and she can back Tequila like a pro :)   She’s one crazy fashionista.  We will begin shooting  our 2009 calendar soon so stay tuned.  We start location scouts and castings by….ironically…August!

Day of 2’s

Today was Day 2 of our RED WEEK shoot.  The creator of RED WEEK, Mike Lynch was our director today and as always, he did it big shooting two spots in one day!  We started our day in the Palisades overlooking the canyon and ended in the fashion district of Downtown LA.  Mike showed great diversity as a director, finishing two completely different projects.  Props for that!  Ira and Mike have really set the bar high, and I can’t wait for tomorrow’s shoot that has us moving all over the LA area.  More on this after I get a few hours of sleep….

This is a pic taken of us on Day 2 of RED WEEK standing in front of one of our glamorous gear vans.  We were on location at the Pacific Palisades at the beginning of our day today…more pictures of that beautiful shoot soon.  As you can see the ratio is much like the bars….lots of dudes:)  It’s wonderful.  Everyone is so much fun to work with and we are having a blast.  The footage will be up Sept.6 so keep up to date for sneak peaks until then!

Day1 of RED week!

Posted in burn one productions by ashley on June 2, 2008 2 Comments

I am pretty exhausted from an incredible first day of shooting for RED WEEK! A friend of mine, Mike Lynch, came up with a genius idea : 6 directors 6 days 6 final films…all on the new RED camera. If you don’t know what the RED camera is, you will soon! It creates sharp, beautiful images and RED WEEK is all about being on the forefront of this technology. I have a spot directing the 6th day this coming Friday! More cool news is Burn One Productions has signed on RED WEEK to Executive Produce the films and launch the First Screening of these films exclusively on our site! Our first day on the project was directed by a really talented director, Ira Flowers. I wish I could tell you all about his movie but you’re gonna have to wait…and trust me it’s worth waiting for. More later when I am not falling asleep with my shoes still on…and congrats Ira on a successful shoot! So for now, here is a picture from today of Mike Lynch, creator of RED WEEK and director Ira Flower, at our 1st finished shoot!
