Other peoples movies

These are two pictures from projects I script supervised recently. The top one was a Wrigley’s gum commercial for the European market. It was shot all over the place which was fun and for some reason I felt compelled to pretend to be a camera operator in that picture! The crew was so easy going and one of the more chill sets I’ve worked on in a while. The bottom picture is a project I scriptied for Bryan Barber!!!! He directed the feature, Idlewild and some of my favorite videos by Outkast. It was a pleasure sitting next to him all day and watch a director at the top of their game, in the zone. Other peoples movies re-inspire me.

Yes, he is real!  Ismale just did our look book and online store ads for Burn One Productions Spring/Summer line.  Special thanks to Hannah Landberg for introducing him into the Burn One family.  He is a wonderful guy and very kind.  After many nights of partying at Opera in Hollywood, it was great to finally work together.  He had every girl on set blushing.  Brad Pitt is old, this guy is where it’s at.  More of Ismale soon!

More photography I did from a ‘for fun’ shoot at my house.  Hey, no one said a director can’t have a lil fun with the camera.  D.P.’s and Camera Op’s have all the fun!  Casey Peters makes it easy though!  She has the rare ability to look different every time a project calls for it.  Most the time she still looks 16.  Lucky!  Casey is a talented little lady and I am glad to have her on board with Burn One Productions.   A casting directors dream!

Ji Mi Kim is an up and coming actress in LA that I recently had the pleasure of working with.  She is featured in our Burn One Commercial coming soon to the web.  She was a great sport through our long night shoots and far drives to Santa Fe Springs.  I won’t reveal too much but Ji Mi plays a hot diva on her way to an event.  This young lady is going to do big things in the acting world, and I couldn’t be happier with her work with Burn One!

This is a picture of Miss April, Catherine King from the Burn One Productions Calendar release party we had in December.  Also pictured is another great friend of mine, Jason Burks.  These two are working on a new movie I am shooting for “RED WEEK”, a top secret thing Burn One has in the works!  If you don’t know about the RED ONE camera that is sweeping the film industry, you better ask somebody….cuz that is one sick piece of machinery!   Catherine and Jason are crazy talented and fun to work with so stay tuned for our latest collaboration together.   “RED WEEK” is going to blow your mind and Burn One Productions is executive producing it!  More on the mystery soon.  Also, I probably spell most words wrong so get use to it!!!

The first person to ever get involved in helping me with Burn One Productions is my great friend Marta Alvira-Hammond.  About 5 years ago in Ann Arbor, MI, I approached Marta about drawing art for t-shirts to sell to make money for my indy films.  She has been a force in design (and moral support), helping me build this company from the ground up.  It is fascinating to see how such a small person (haha I had to say it)  can have so much creativity inside them!  Her photography, graphics, and drawings are a sight to behold.  Props to Marta for believing in Burn One all these years.  She can also rap every word to Lil Troy’s ‘Wanna be a baller’   which is dope in my book.  Check out her OG Car Design and Detroit House designs at our store.  I will be linking to all things Marta shortly, so check back!

Another quick peek into my upcoming film project featuring three talented young actresses, and a cast of many wonderful others. This photo is of Casey Peters AKA Goober. we just wrapped a photo shoot together we kicked old school style that will be up in the near future. We turned up the dance techno, played dress up and I pulled out my old 35 mm manual camera. The results were brilliant, thanks to this young lady! Don’t worry, there is plenty more where this came from on the way.

This photo is one I took of my dear friend Diana Cruz, a film producer.  After a few Newcastles, we tried to get her to  jump in front of the camera for once.  After a few more, she actually did!  And look at the results….what a hot mama!  Diana recently produced an awesome music video for the song “Mexican Radio” by the band Kinky.  Very cool stuff, directed by Alan Fiterman, a Brazilian filmmaker.  Also produced by Melanie Rein, the most bad ass Production Designer I know.  Will have more on Kinky and Diana in the near future.  For now, sweat it out with this pic as your screen saver.  Holla
